ABOUT ALL-DESK

Founded in March 2011, all-desk aims to make the world a better place by helping people to work in the best location for them according to their needs at the time.

We are a small team of passionate people that belong to the work at home/cowork generation. Both are great but we realized that they also have their limitations. For instance, what if I have a meeting with a customer 1 hour away from where my office is? Or if I'm fed up of working at home and need to see people? This are real examples that we felt ourselves and that led us to develop all-desk.

We are part of darwin ecosystem which is a great bunch of people that without them, this project would not get of the ground. We are currently Semi-finalists in the MIT competition and, hopefully, this will allow us to expand our product to great new heights..

You can rest assured that you won't find anyone more passionate about helping everyone finding the best place to work, all-over.

PEDRO SANTOS

CHIEF INDIAN OFFICER

An ex-coder turned business guy, Pedro has over ten years of experience in the corporate world and two in the startup world. He's a MBA, passionate about technology entrepreneurship, innovation, and getting things done in fast paced environments.

A startup addict he oozes entrepreneurial spirit, has a couple of startups under his belt, is authoring a book and, above all else, is a proud father of one.

Pedro's putting his experience to great use in looking for opportunities to help new and existing businesses succeed with technology, in exciting new ways.

FERNANDO MENDES

CHIEF WOW OFFICER

Graphic designer and photographer. Started to work back in the 90's at Forum, a portuguese media group focused on students, schools and jobs. General manager of Cyber.net, a portuguese affiliate of .Net magazine between 1994 and 1996 and then Head of Design of Terravista, SA, a major web project funded by the portuguese government, until the end of 2001. From this point he became an entrepreneur, launches Drelladesign, LD and teaches graphic design and photography for almost 10 years.

In 2010, tired of working alone, COWORKLISBOA begin to germinate in his head and it is launched in 2 months (February). This is the first and bigger cowork space of Lisbon, located at LX Factory, an old industrial venue. He is finishing a Master on Photography Studies in 2012. With four other entrepreneurs, ALL–DESK is launched in spring/summer of 2011.

Fernando Mendes is a proud Lou Reed fan and expert. Father of two. He loves John Cale's song lyrics "Fear": "[...] Life and death are just things you do when you're bored Say fear's a man's best friend [...]"

MARCO DE ABREU

CHIEF PHILOSOPHY OFFICER

His motto is "Entrance forbidden to those who aren't amazed by their existence", taken from a book he carries since he was 15.

An Informatics Engineer graduate, he launched Safira in 1997. In 2005 he creates darwin, an information systems company pioneering the design of systems based on "Organizational Design and Engineering".

Integral Person. Father. Entrepreneur. Passionate. Likes to inspire and to be inspired.

RUI AIRES

HEAD OF VOODOO

Rui has been a programmer since the ZX Spectrum back in 85. He was a software architect and project manager, making it through the corporate world and back in one piece. Snowboard, surf, yoga and a love for music keep his sanity in check.

In the last three years he has focused on coaching teams to collaborate and be productive in the cloud. His favorite thing in the world is watching his baby girl grow day after day!

Rui is all about collaboration and getting people to work better together, through technology and the web.
